  1. Do something with empty lot by midtown 7/11. Mini park?
  2. Connect unnamed bike trail by railroad downtown to Blackwater Creek Trail so it's easy to bypass bumpy Jefferson Street on bike. Right now there's a narrow fence gap that requires dismount.
  3. Find and officially recommend a good bike router for Lynchburg that considers topography, safety, comfort Done. Transit app has a good bike router
  4. Legalize sidewalk biking
  5. Legalize using trails at night
  6. Paint a crosswalk
  7. Put stickers on Route 1A and 1B signs
  8. Have a booth at Get Downtown
  9. Start a university club
  10. Partner with a bike shop
  11. Get corporate sponsorship for projects
  12. Start an email newsletter. Add city council members to list.
  13. Post regularly on social media
  14. Find a way to send automatic meeting reminder emails every week (MailMail, Brevo, CampaignMonitor, etc.)
  15. Make a bicycle stress/safety map of Lynchburg. Post it on a landing page for cycling in Lynchburg where people new to cycling or new to the city can find safe routes, resources, parking, events, etc. Get local bike shops on board. Include a map. League of American Bicyclists recommends putting up a page like this.
  16. Become a 501c(3)
  17. Hold an e-bike tryout event
  18. Walkability audits of neighborhoods
  19. Get branded vests
  20. Change twitter handle from urbanlynchburg to something more appropriate
  21. Get better sidewalk edging tools
  22. Database of bushes that get overgrown often
  23. Pick a motto for our chapter
  24. Hold an event that's worthy of a well-designed poster
  25. Get GLTC to set up Flex service advertising at the airport
  26. Make a map of all the places we've cleaned up
  27. Prospective member sign up/contact form on website
  28. Attend relevant city council meeting as a group
